Prophetic Word for January 2026: A New Genesis and the Call to Expand Your Capacity

As we step into 2026, I sense the Lord releasing a powerful word for the month of January: a month of fresh beginnings and divine outpouring. But before I share the prophetic word the Iconverge team and I received through prayer, let me reflect on part of my own journey.
Lessons from 2025: The Year of "No Capacity"
Throughout 2025, as I ministered and conversed with people, one phrase echoed repeatedly: "I don’t have capacity for that." It became the soundtrack of the year, even finding its way into my own thoughts in various areas of life.
Yet, when I paused to compare what God enabled me to carry in 2025 versus previous years, I saw clear growth. My capacity had expanded far beyond what it once was. This reminded me of the familiar Scripture in Isaiah 54:2 (NIV):
“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.”
We often quote this verse about expanding our tent pegs, but what are we expanding into? And do we truly understand the capacity to contain it?
I believe capacity is a realm we tap into first by alignment. When we say, “I don’t have capacity,” the deeper question is: Am I doing what I’m supposed to be doing? Or am I expending energy on things where grace has lifted?
Like the Israelites in the wilderness, we must move when the cloud of God’s presence moves (Exodus 40:36-38). His favor and provision rest where His glory dwells. Staying put when He advances leaves us outside the flow of grace.
As I leaned into this theme of enlargement in 2025, something profound happened toward year’s end: God poured out immense favor and blessing. Yet it felt like the story of the widow in 2 Kings 4:1-7, her oil multiplied miraculously, but it stopped when the vessels ran out. I sensed the Lord asking, “Did you prepare enough jars? Did you set up enough vessels to contain the outpouring?”
Could our lack of capacity stem from not building the right structures in the Kingdom? Or from not fully believing for the abundance He wants to release? Once it is released we're not prepared.
This leads us directly into 2026.
The Prophetic Word for January 2026
After praying with the Iconverge team, here is the word the Lord gave us for January (stay tuned for more monthly words as we journey through the year):
“January marks a clear beginning, a new Genesis in everything: relationships, finances, calling, assignments, and more. People will see God more clearly: His nature, His heart, and His hand at work. They will truly taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8).
There will be deep revelation of Christ in us, producing unshakable trust and stability. Many will experience profound ‘aha’ moments as truth settles deep within.
This month lays a firm foundation for the entire year: grounded identity, renewed belief, and confidence in God’s law, grace, and mercy. Wisdom and clarity will increase as people become rooted and steady amid surrounding confusion.
As you awaken to newness and renewed understanding of your identity and purpose, you will arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you (Isaiah 60:1). A flow of abundance begins, and creation itself responds positively.
Strength will increase in those who know God intimately, leading to greater effectiveness and bold exploits (The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits — Daniel 11:32 NKJV).
This month establishes momentum for the year ahead. Some will experience sudden winds of change.”
As I meditate on this word, I see an urgent call to capacity. All this abundance, revelation, and beauty require room to flow.
Your Invitation: Prepare Your Vessels
As you lean into this prophetic word, praying, contemplating, and declaring it, ask yourself: What are my vessels? Where in my life can I expand, make room, or prepare for more?
God can only fill what we surrender to Him. As we align ourselves and come into divine order for 2026, we enlarge the space for His manifestation through us.
Let go of anything keeping you stuck where the glory cloud has already moved on. Move with Him!
Finally, communication is key in January. Pay attention to how we receive and give the Word of God, how we discern what is spoken, and the subtle ways He communicates. Open your awareness as you immerse yourself in Scripture and listen to the words coming from Prophet Kirby and Fiona.
May January 2026 be your new Genesis — a month where you taste God’s goodness afresh and arise to shine in His glory.
